PRODUCTS
The products we handle support shaping the world. Cement, cement clinker, various types of slag (such as granulated blast furnace slag and copper slag produced from steelmaking and smelting processes), natural gypsum, limestone, graphite electrodes, refractories, calcium silicate boards, and abrasives are essential for infrastructure development and construction work. They also include many environmentally friendly products that reuse resources.
CEMENT & CEMENT RAW MATERIALS
CEMENT
Mainly handling OPC (Ordinary Portland Cement). The main modes of transport are shipments by cement tankers as well as break-bulk carriers depending on customers' need. Bagged cement is also available upon request.
CLINKER
Seaborne trade of clinker (major ingredient in today's cement) is one of our core businesses. Supplying from major sources over Asian Pacific and EMEA region. Major deliveries are made by bulk carriers of 40-50,000MT.
GRANULATED BLAST FURNACE SLAG
Along with clinker, it is another mainstay product. Demand for this product is expected to increase further in the future, as its use as a clinker substitute for cement is expected to reduce CO2 emissions. Blast furnace cement mixed with 40-60% granulated blast furnace slag is effective for marine construction because of its resistance to erosion by seawater.
COPPER SLAG
Copper slag, a byproduct of copper smelters, is used as a raw material for clinker production (iron source) and as abrasive for shot blasting used in ship repair yards. It is mainly transported by bulk carrier in lots of 20-50,000 MT.
FLY ASH
Fly ash generated from coal-fired power plants reacts with alkali to solidify and is used as a raw material for cement admixture and clinker. Fly ash for cement admixture is supplied in compliance with industrial standards. Fly ash is transported by cement tankers, bulk carriers (bulk and bagged), and containers.
NATURAL GYPSUM
Natural gypsum, mainly from Oman, is supplied to a wide range of customers (cement and gypsum board manufacturers) worldwide. Bulk carriers of about 30-50,000 MT are used predominantly.
LIMESTONE
Limestone has a wide variety of applications, and in the cement industry it is used as a raw material for clinker production and as a cement admixture. We mainly handle limestone for use as a cement admixture. Both shipping methods, bulk carrier and container, are available upon request. We also supply slaked lime for other industrial applications.
Other Products
STEEL SLAG BASE COURSE MATERIAL
Steel slag for road construction is produced by crushing and grading of blast furnace slag and/or steelmaking slag generated by steel makers, and its hydraulic hardness enables the formation of strong and durable roadbeds. Attracting attention as an eco-friendly product that reduces the amount of natural crushed stone used. It is mainly transported by bulk carrier.
DOLOMITE
We handle dolomite with high MgO content and low iron content for use as raw material for glass and iron making, mainly in Thailand and the Philippines. 30-40,000 MT bulk carriers are mainly used for transportation.
CALCIUM SILICATE BOARD
The Japanese CalSi board we handle is a building material particularly used for interior decoration thanks to its light specific gravity and noncombustible characteristics. We have been exporting high quality products stably for many years through our distribution network especially in Taiwan and Korea. Transportation is by container.
GRAPHITE ELECTRODES
Graphite Electrodes are very well known as an essential component of electric furnaces in which steel scrap is melted to be recycled into steel products and as a contributing factor to decarbonization endeavors. According to the customer’s needs, we are shipping out the products from Japan, Malaysia and China by container.
REFRACTORIES
Refractories, used in equipment in the metallurgical and ceramic industries, must withstand high temperatures of +1,500°C. We handle refractories for blast furnaces (refractory bricks, tap hole clay, etc.), EAFs (refractory bricks, MHP, etc.), converter furnaces (tap hole sleeves, etc.), and continuous casting of steelmaking (Submerged entry Nozzle, upper/lower nozzles, etc.) in South America, Asia and elsewhere in the world.
LANCE PIPE
A lance pipe is used for injecting oxygen, carbon powder, and/or other additives into an electric furnace for steel making, and also used in Ladle and Tundish cleaning at high temperature.
MOLD POWDER
Mold powder is used for continuous casting and intended for smooth passage of molten steel in the mold. The powder also performs several important functions: prevention of reoxidation of molten steel, and absorption and removal of air bubbles. The main sales destination is Thailand.
